For Warren and Ross; I became good friends with your Mum, Margot, when we were work colleagues at Clayton Dewandre. I was inspired by your Dad the very first time I met him in the early 1970s, when he arrived home and walked into your family house dressed in his RAF uniform with pilot’s wings etc etc. I was immediately struck by his kind and gentle manner. I found Rob to be a very bright and intelligent man, good natured, humble and full of humour, with a wealth of fascinating stories. Rob was generous too, I will never forget him inviting me to RAF Finningley as his guest at the Silver Jubilee in 1977, what an amazing experience that was your Mum and Dad treated me like royalty. I had the privilege of his friendship, and your Mum’s too, which I will always value dearly. Although I was to move away in the early 1980s I was truly blessed in regaining contact with him and your Mum in their later years. I will always remember Rob, and all the Glover family, with much affection.
